Attention Wheat Ridge artists!
The 56th Annual Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival is right around the corner and the Plate Design Contest is now open for 2025. Submission deadline is midnight, June 8th.
The winner’s artwork will be featured on the 56th annual commemorative plate. Plates will be presented to the City of Wheat Ridge for display in the Council Chambers in City Hall, the Wheat Ridge Carnation Parade award winners, and the winning artist.
Prizes:
First prize – $150 and your artwork featured on the commemorative plate
Second prize – $100
Third prize – $75
Guidelines:
- Artwork to incorporate aspects of Wheat Ridge and/or The Carnation Festival
- Must be family-friendly
- Accepted formats: .pdf or .jpg @ 300dpi scale. (Designs are laser-printed onto the ceramic plates.)
- Accepted 2-D art mediums: photography, painting, drawing, digital art
Submissions should be sent to carnationfestparade@gmail.com with attention: Plate Contest 2025. Please include artwork attachment, full name and contact information (including phone number and address), a brief resume, and how you are connected to Wheat Ridge.
By submitting your entry, you give permission to the Carnation Festival to use the image from your original art in all forms for marketing the 2025 festival.
