Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival
Fine Art Sale & Art Show
August 17th and 18th 2012
Welcome to our 43rd Annual Carnation Festival!
We are thrilled to announce that we have added a community fine arts sale to the Festival.
We will still feature a separate display of the Wheat Ridge Art League paintings in the Anderson Building gymnasium but we’ll add approximately 20 vendors displaying other types of fine art.
The community fine arts show will be non-juried and will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, noon-8 p.m., in the Anderson Building courtyard and lobby. The east side of the Anderson Building gymnasium will house the Art League’s juried show and the west side will be available for a limited number of additional non-juried paintings. If you have paintings you would like to display, please read the guidelines set forth by the Art League.
The courtyard and lobby will feature other medium such as glass, wood, textiles, leather, sculpture, etc. There is space for 18 artists, 9 outside under canopies and 9 inside the lobby on tables. Artists must supply their own canopies, tables, chairs and whatever else they need. They are responsible for selling their work and collecting appropriate sales tax. Cost is $50 per space. Wheat Ridge residents will receive preference. Festival art committee will decide which artists are accepted.
